This limited batch of premium
teacakes is a special order for the Taiwan market produced from the
famous Pu-erh township of Yiwu famed for its ancient wild tea trees.
The leaves used are handpicked and harvested from old tea trees. Each
teacake is handmade using traditional stone moulds and naturally sun
dried. The leaves are very tender and full of flavor. This tea can easily
last up to 10 steeps while leisurely enjoying its wonderful characteristics.
For a young Pu-erh tea it is
remarkably smooth and has a clear, prominent sweetness with classic
Yiwu characteristics. The tea has excellent clarity and a light medium
body. The leaves after flushing offers an amazing and unique combination
of fruity aromas consisting of ripe plums, apricots, peaches, mangoes,
bananas, papayas with subtle undertones of wood and light organics.
The tea carries a deep, warm plum sweetness integrated with essences
of tropical fruits, soft caramel and touches of light organics and mild
tannins. The body is exquisitely soft and smooth going down. The finish
leaves a lingering light fragrance at the back of the throat that is
cooling and mildly drying.
