This large bingcha is a special limited edition from the Chunming Tea Factory. Only high quality tea leaves harvested exclusively from old trees are used for this elite consignment. Each teacake weighs 1.5 kg and is handmade using customize moulds. The level of compression is compact without being too tight in order to promote a thorough and even ageing of the teacake. The excellent leaf quality imparts a natural and enchanting deep forest aroma to the brew that can easily last up to 8 steeps.

This tea possesses a light and easy charm with a mellow and smooth character that makes it instantly enjoyable. The brew upon inspection shows excellent clarity. After flushing the leaves open to a warm sweetly fragrant aroma of deep forest, chestnuts, soft wood and deep characters reminiscent of Japanese sencha. The taste and aroma is lingering, amist a combination of creamy, buttery notes with hints of chlorophyll. It tails off with touches of tannins and a memorable aromatic finish that lingers at the back of the throat. This tea can be enjoyed now or left to develop further with age.
