This private order uses top grade
tea leaves from naturally grown big tea trees that are at least 100
years old. A rich combination of buds and tender leaves are used in
the composition of this teacake. The teacake is handmade using stone
moulds and sun dried. The level of compression is not too tight and
helps promote a thorough and even ageing of the teacake. The excellent
leaf quality imparts incredible fragrance to this tea which can easily
last up to 10 steeps.
The tea has reached its first stage of maturity.
It’s once youthful exuberance exhibited through sharp, lively
characteristics has become noticeably rounded, smoother and more refined.
The liquor displays excellent clarity with a thickening viscous ness.
After flushing the leaves are bursting with floral and fruity fragrances
of wild orchids, summer fruits, honey and light organics. The tea carries
an enticing soft fruity flavor and emerging honey sweetness mingled
with the remnants of youth. Each sip delivers an explosion of aroma
at the back of the throat that ascends up the nasal passage. The finish
is lightly drying with floral and fruity essences lingering at the back
of the throat.
Further aging is expected to add more complexity, body and pronounced
honey sweetness to this tea.
