What little that remains of this
1970s rare aged black Pu-erh teacake was obtained from a Chinese collector
in Hong Kong. The teacake represents one of the early batches of black
Pu-erh tea released by the Menghai factory in the early 1970s when black
Pu-erh was first introduced. It is a wonderful collector's item as well
as a drinking experience to be savored.
* The piece is solid but exhibits
an airy lightness when handled. The brown leaves are very dry and light.
The expansion of the air pockets within the layers of the teacake during
its long period of storage gives it a light fluffiness that is unique
in old teacakes.
