This 1970s teacake is remarkably
well aged and has undergone excellent storage conditions for over 30
years. The few teacakes that remain are offered here only as samples
due to their very limited quantity. The leaves are tender, very juicy
and full of flavor. This tea can easily last up to 15 steeps while leisurely
enjoying its wonderful characteristics and contemplating its complexity.
This is a magnificent aged Puerh
tea in its prime - displaying strong, complex characteristics with great
depth of flavors and balance. The tea has excellent clarity and a thick,
almost syrupy body that is tongue coating. The leaves after flushing
offers a beguiling fusion of aged sherry wood, molasses, dark chocolate,
wild mushrooms, camphor, liquorice, earth, organics with mild undertones
of bark and peat. The tea exhibits a wonderful integration of flavors,
combining sweet prunes, heavy fruits, sherry wood, organics, peat and
light tannins. The thick brew comprises of tightly compact flavors that
explodes with fragrance, rising from the throat and up the air passage
of the nasal. The finish is exquisitely long and lingers in each subsequent
breathe.
